The Lion x K.V. Oostende (New Club)

New Club, new challenge…as a result of an early end to the season and a change in club management, it meant that the time of my client Alfred Ntiamoah (The Lion) at the previous club was coming to an end. However, he made such an impression in the division that our friends over at Destiny Sports Management alerted us to the interest from a different club in the Belgian top-flight: K.V. Oostende.

I immediately got the call for a consulting session as there were a lot of factors to be considered and even more pressing was the fact that we had less than a week to make a decision. The world of football moves at a crazy pace so you have to adapt and react quickly but certain. I mapped out the scale of the opportunity and challenge at hand that helped my client have a better overall view of the situation, and also evaluate the level of responsibility required for this big project.

The offer fits into the timeline of our vision and will deem as yet another platform to showcase why this bigger role of athletic coach role is a perfect fit. After some intense contract negotiations, we managed to come to an agreement and a 2-year deal was struck. It’s fair to say, that this is yet another big step in the right direction with more expectations to be demanded from my client.

Making progress is a process and ultimately growth in all aspects is the desired result. I’m genuinely impressed with our turnaround myself and as always will be looking forward to seeing how my client gets on.

I’ll make sure to visit when the new season is underway for an update and football reasons of course, not the stunning sea-side location…keep pushing!
