The Lion x Royal Excel Mouscron

Whilst having somewhat managed the challenges that come with personal training, there was another ever-present aspect; Corporate.

The dream was always to strictly train professional athletes and along the way, several owners of gyms and other sport-related companies used to offer my client roles and positions within those.
Fortunately, Alfred ‘The Lion’ Ntiamoah trusted in my vision enough to not go for those unless I advised it was a building block for where we want to end up.

After an impressive and successful stint at HSV (Hamburger SV) a call by the former head coach came in asking for my client to join him for a new challenge at Royal Excel Mouscron in Belgium as an athletic coach. After an in-depth consultation, my client agreed to listen to the proposal. We received the offer and then it was showtime, I spent 2 weeks straight on consulting and negotiating the most suitable contract. With preseason imminent there was added pressure and a quick turnaround was needed and I’m glad to say we got it done.

Consulting my client to ensure he is happy with terms and his interests are considered was my main priority throughout.

Now after placing my client in a position that will be a platform to establish himself in the desired industry as well as building new networks, I will continue to be involved in ongoing consulting sessions as we identify and make moves on further potential opportunities.

Couple of months after, I went visit my client to discuss initial impressions, progress and room for improvement.
I was treated to a VIP experience watching him work on matchday vs Club Brugge, who in their last game just gave Real Madrid a really tough draw after going 0:2 up at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Excited to be a part of this journey would be an understatement.
